During this lab scouts were experimenting with different recipes to make silly sand.

Scouts were experimenting on how to make silly sand that has the strongest cohesion. they started by stating their quesitons, doing research and formulating their hypothesis.
Activity 2
Then they designed the experiment, established the procedure and conducted the experiment.
Testing Criteria 1 - Drop a golf ball sized ball from 1, 2 and 3 feet What happens? - Record Results 2- Pack sand and cut with plastic knife Do the edges stay firm? 3- Roll sand flat on a tray and use a cookie cutter Can you pick up the shape? 4- Form a large ball and drop it Does it fall apart? 5- Form a tall tower Does it stand or fall over?
